Variations in jaw force due to changes in chuck, lubrication or both may occur. Jaw force may increase with use. This will not be detrimental to the chuck as long as the increase does not exceed 20%. High-Speed Thru-Hole Chucks Series Y10-590 (2) Maximum recommended speeds are based on 50% jaw force retention at the stated WR (weight x radius to cen- ter-of-gravity) value. Specific applications must be reviewed by the user to establish that the jaw force is adequate for the loads to be encountered. Higher speeds may be permissible but must be reviewed.
